Pride Castel Romano Designer Outlet (Rm)

Job Description

Client  MC ARTHUR GLEN

Colour is a universal language that has the power to convey instantly recognisable and deeply resonant messages by capturing the spirit of a people at a moment in time, uniting them around a shared symbol. It is one of the most powerful tools communities have to express and rally around cultural identity.
Month Pride, with its bright colours, has become an emblem of community strength and the fight for visibility, inclusion and civil rights.

The colours of the Pride flag carefully reflect the unique experiences and identities of the community. Artist and activist Gilbert Baker created the first LGBTQ+ Pride flag, a symbol to inspire and affirm the LGBTQ+ community by seeking a new kind of visual identity born of pure joy and shared positivity, choosing the colours of the rainbow as a symbol of hope.

Hence the work dedicated to Roman Castle – Mc Arthur Glen supporting the Month Pride initiative to raise awareness of community rights in support of the values of inclusion, welcome and equality through the installation of 175 kites divided by colouring that pleasantly accompany visitors along the shopping boulevard.

The kite, the world’s oldest flying object, was used in China as early as 500 B.C. to carry messages: this is what the Mc Arthur Group intends to convey with a vision that overcomes the still existing cultural stereotypes while spreading the culture of respect in all its forms and freedom of expression.
